The country’s largest lender, which has been slow to respond to customer complaints till recently, has adopted a distinctly fresh approach to resolve such issues.
The elephant appears keen to acquire a nimble image. The 48-hour deadline set by the State Bank of India (SBI) chairman for action on customer complaints has hit home hard.
India’s largest bank is evolving a distinctly new customer-friendly face, since its chairman OP Bhatt sought fast and prompt action on all complaints filed by the bank’s customers in a directive issued earlier last year. The internal communication from a deputy general manager outlined: “Please note that our Chairman desires that all the email complaints forwarded from the Corporate Centre have to be replied to the department within 48 hours.”
Here is some impressive evidence of SBI’s brand new face. During the last financial year (2009-2010), SBI received 31,862 complaints and was able to resolve 30,588 within an average resolution time of nine days. Thus, SBI was able to achieve 96% success in complaint resolution in the year. (The bank now says it is striving to achieve an average resolution time of less than five days).
Over the past few months, there is a noticeable difference in the manner in which complaints are being handled at the bank. The customer services department has exhibited surprising alacrity in resolving grievances. In fact, over the past six months, Moneylife has noticed a tangible difference in the lender’s approach towards complaints.
Moneylife regularly receives complaints on various matters from readers, and forwards these to the respective authorities. As far as SBI is concerned, we are now receiving prompt responses on these complaints.
This is quite a turnaround from the time when complaints would pour in thick and fast into the customer services department of the public sector bank, but the resolution of these complaints took a while. However, that may be a thing of the past, now that the bank has distinctly altered its approach to deal with complaints.
Commenting on the change in attitude towards customer complaints, an SBI official explained, “SBI is making a conscious effort to ensure quick and quality resolution of customer grievances in a customer-friendly manner. The root cause of customer dissatisfaction is the general attitude of resistance to customer complaints. With this realisation, the bank has been working to bring about a turnaround in attitude towards customer dissatisfaction that is reflected in these complaints. Customer complaints are our guiding light towards better customer service. We, in SBI, are targeting to provide more than what the customer expects, as it results in customer delight and is the only way to win and retain a customer.”
The bank recently launched an additional channel for customer grievance redressal, called ‘SMS Unhappy Service’. This is a dual mobile and web-based system, under which SBI head offices have ‘Happy Rooms’ which deal with customer grievances. Any customer wanting to lodge a complaint, sends an SMS “UNHAPPY” to a specified number (8008202020). The Happy Room responds to the SMS by calling back the customer on the mobile number and records the details of the complaint. The complaint is then forwarded to the respective branches through a dedicated website, and they are required to advise a resolution within 48 hours.

This is conveyed immediately to the complainant on the mobile. The system affords the advantage to redress simple complaints in the shortest possible time. It also gives the customer the flexibility to approach his or her banker from anywhere.
The system is unique, in that the bank takes proactive action by calling the customer. SMS Unhappy has helped SBI to make an ABC analysis of customer complaints. The managers found that a majority of customer complaints relate to the lack of response to customer queries. Such complaints are readily resolved by the proactive expert team that handles the service. The bank claims that easy accessibility from anywhere in the country through this channel, and quick redressal of complaints have made customers happy.
The bank explains that a lot of groundwork has gone into changing the attitude of the employees through various programmes such as ‘Parivartan’, ‘SBI Citizen’, ‘Udan’ and ‘Jagruti’. All employees, from the messengers and security staff right up to the senior management, were put through an instruction to better understand interpersonal relationships, relating mainly to customers.
The initiative has marked a welcome shift in SBI’s approach towards its customers. No doubt there remain several unresolved complaints that the departments still have to look into. But with the top bosses taking a keen interest in the effective resolution of complaints, customers can hope to get these matters sorted out sooner than later.

Hi Sir,
I am drafting this with lot of disappointment with the SBI home loan. After the agreement has been signed we have submitted all the documents by May 27 2012 but the branch did not included the necessary documents while sending it to the processing center and it got rejected. The documents were sent back to the branch and they have not responded for that also we are not informed about that. We went to the branch to check about the status they carelessly saying it got rejected last week itself. Again all the required documents were sent and the process happened too slow. Now nothing pending from our side we have submitted every thing long back and till today the current status is “Processing”. I am really fed up with the SBI and the builder is pressurizing us and we do not know what to do from our side, whenever we check with the branch the answer is the application is still under processing.

On 03/07/12 I went to Kanchrapara branch of SBI(W.B) to open an account.Dealing said that Madam is on leave pse come on 16/07/12 I obliged that.On 16/7/12 went again dealing told she will join on 21/7/12. I again went to SBI Kanchrapara on 21/07/12 with filled up form,pan card,res. proof ,voter ID card which is duly accepted by Madam on that day.Problem begins here.She told that a verification for residential proof now required which will be sent by post at your res. address. And my misery begins here not for the authenticity of my docs but for the indeffinite time it will take.As to my self I am serving as a permanent teacher in K.V in Kanchrapara joined one month before I want to open a salary acct .It is already delayed during the process.
Now I want to know from the competent authy.of SBI is this the workculture of India’s largest Bank?Please let me know whether all norms as explained by dealings are correct.If not what remedial action you are going to take?

I am an old customer of your Baguihati Branch Kolkata. Myself / my wife visited the branch thrice during July’12 for updating my PPF Pass Book no 11202273581 required for submissionof IT return.
Initially she was told to go after 20th July. Myself went there on 20th July the new pass book given to me was full of errors, drawing the notice of the clerk concerned was vain.
My wife again visited on 27th July ’12 and draw the attention of the Accountant, name i can not cite since he was not wearing the ICard. He initially refused to see, on persuation althogh looked afterwards replied ” everything is correct”.
A man of ordinary prudence can visualise that frqent withdrawals from PPF a/c, that too by cheque and regual Debit /credit transactions can not be made through a PPF a/c, but the concerned accountant either knowingly or unknowingly vouch the genunity of the recorded entries in my Pass Book, resulting in delay in filing of IT return and lot of harrassments.
In view of urgency,Sir, I have mailed the fact to sbihelplinelhokol & the branch concerned . but till date I have not received my PPF pass book bearing no11202273581with corrected & updated records.
Sir, I do hope an esteemed organisation like yours will not give further pain to the old customers to take up the matter agin, rather will get the solution.

For this requarment i visit Branch manager Mr. Sombhunath Sarkar. But his behaviour is very bad. He toid me (I am a businessman, if u open FD is minimum 2 Lakh, then i will give u a locker otherwise not.). When i see u the net print out for locker rules, he was just angry & ignore it. I am a middle class customer so i cant affort that amount. He doing besically illegal business with this branch.

My name is Nishant Thakur and I am from Madhubani(Bihar).
I had applied a home loan on 5th March 2012 at my hometown (Madhubani Main SBI Branch) .This home loan was for construction of new house of 5 lacs.
The house building was already started and finished till ground floor level and I was looking for 5 lacs of home loan to finish the rest of the construction work(finishing and all).
I contacted the current field officer “N K Thakur” for the home loan. He asked me for all the related documents one by one which I provided time-to-time.
The field officer hasn’t told me the required documents at once and wasted my 1 month. I stayed at my hometown with my unpaid vacation for almost 2 months for the home loan.
I was very upset with the behavior of the staffs(field officer, chief manager).After wasting my two months they returned my papers on 3rd May 2012 without providing me a written reason.
They wasted almost 5-10k of my money for documents like Opinion from advocate, Land possession certificate,EC,Mutation of land etc.
Apart from that I walked-in to the bank for almost 20-25 times during this 2 Months.
Following are the steps they followed during this two months :
1. Asked for all the relevant documents one by one, not at one time(waste of my time and money).
2. I provided all the relevant documents finally after a month and so.
3. They sent the documents to RSPC ,ADB branch Madhubani.
4. They verified all the documents and sent a reply to SBI main branch,Madhubani.
5. The field officer now told me that there is small correction required in Land Possession Certificate and SBI Advocate opinion.
6. I took the documents from him and corrected it in one day from Rahika block(Madhubani) and SBI advocate.
7. I hand over the documents to the field officer again. He said that he will send the documents again to RCPC ADB branch Madhubani.
8. I waited for again 1 week and came to SBI Main branch again for enquiry. Now Mr. N K Thakur ,the current field officer told me you need to provide more guarantee for this home loan.
9. I had added my father as a guarantor and provided almost 7-10 lacs of property details from him as a guarantee for 5 lacs of home loan.
10. The field officer told me that either you provide me some LIC policy surrender value or Fixed deposit to bank. I was totally shocked with this.
11. When I said ,I can’t provide any more guarantee then he returned me the papers after two months.
I also applied the home loan at Bank of Baroda at end of this whole scene and I got the home loan from them in mere 11 days(you heard right).
I have sent a RTI on this to Madhubani branch ,but they haven’t replied yet even after receiving the RTI 45 days back.
During the whole course I lost almost 1 lac,20 thousand rupees as my unpaid vacation and almost 10K for collecting all the documents.
After this 2 months of marathon exercise ,I learnt never do any business with SBI.It’s your responsibility now to change my or others(young people of India) mind.
The behavior of staffs with 60-65 years old peoples was awful ,then how I can I expect better for me.
I am sending this letter to hear from you on this(Your opinion ,what should I do ?).

We had discuused your issue with SBI offcials, who have advised that from the account number it has been observed that your account is very old (when the Bank was using standlone Bankmaster software), the detail of which can be retrieved from that branch only. It seems that the account has been closed due to debiting of minimum balance charges (Min. balance for a account with cheque facility – Rs.1000 (urban centre) at the material time). The account once closed cannot be revived back now. It is better to open a fresh account after completing all the KYC norms. As per RBI guideleines even in the existing accounts KYC norms are required to be completed. You can take up the matter with the branch separately regarding waiver of charges alreday levied on account of non compliance of minimum balance requirement enlcosing therein the correspondence exchanged with the branch regarding stoppage of cheque book facility. I want to complain about your services offered by our Daund branch in Dist-Pune.The people working in this branch do not even have time to talk to customers like us.we are just delivered from one desk to another unreluctuntaly, as if no one cares.I wasn’t offered a DD on the 15th of august 2012 with the reason the machine not working properly.After an hour,your person gave me the DD with print from the same machine which an hour ago “WAS NOT WELL”.We, business men have to wait for hours to deposit cash in our creditors a/c as most of them deal with you.

My late father’s pension was paid under PSB scheme. Some arrears and nonpayment was brought to the Branch Manager Nannilam in Tiruvarur Dist in TN. The erudite Branch Manager is blatantly lying that the same was not paid by PSB but worked as a liaison between the Sub Treasury Nannilam and my late father and the higher ups without giving a thought for the grievance endorse his opinion. The exchange of correspondence is going on for the past one and half decade even including PGPORTAL, & PGPORTAL (PENSION), DPG PORTAL, PRESIDENT SECRETARY for no use since the higher ups from whom explanation would be called for by the stated supra would use their insight to malign the customer.
At last with the kind intervention of the Special Secretary, Chief Minister’s cell of TN, I could get arrears but with anomaly for which I corresponded but they do not broach. Moreover, they did not furnish the copy of the cheque or the order of the Sub Treasury Nannilam thus the bank purportedly made the payment of their own simply debiting the government account, which is possible only in PSB cases but the total management egregiously fail to elicit the fact or suppress to me remains to be answered

sir, this is very unfortunate to bring your notice that i have taken a personal loan for Rs 1 lakh from sbi rajahmundry main branch on may 2012. the installment has not been deducted sofar, this is brought to the notice of the branch several times, but all my afforts are in vain.
Now suddently sbi has deducted Rs 8221/- from my account for the instalement for three months i.e 2740/- per month. Actual instlment to be deducted is Rs2360/-
i approched the bank several times no proper reply and i had to wander from one seat to other seat.

I have taken a home loan from SBI in Jun 2012. I have now been asked to do the mortgage registration immediately. Is this really required? when enquired in the registrar office, i was told that it would cost 4% of loan amount (stamp duty) + 1% of loan amount (regn fee) i.e. it costs Rs 35000. No one in the bank informed me about the registration procedure when i applied for the loan.I’m at shock, i must say. Till date i was happy thinking that SBI is transparent and had no hidden charges. But now, i have started thinking if i should transfer my loan to some other bank that does not require this procedure.

On 11th oct 2012 when i went to the bank and asked accounts officer Mr Singla regarding the FDR he behaved rudely and indifferntly with me and directed me to another counter and that person to another counter and again to some other counter finally when i reached the counter there was no sign showing the name plate or counter referred.again that lady oblged persons known to her as a privileged customer and i was waiting in the que as a 4th class customer

On 09.10.2012 early morning i got message that your account was debited by Rs. 3390. 1st of all i did not understood b’cos the I did not swiped the debit card fro purchase for more that 1 year and 2nd thing is in the late night which store is open for purchase.
in the morning (09.10.2012) around 8.40 am again i got 7-8 same messages and totally by 32765 Rs was debited from my Saving account of Dhankawadi Br., Pune. Now only 269.50 Rs is the balance.
When I approved to the Bank the Manager Mr. Karandikar asked to file written complaint in the branch and same was done by me. He also asked to send one email complaint on the email address of the branch. (sbi.05413@sbi.co.in) when i reached to my office i send the same c complaint on the email.
Then from 10.10.2012 to 12.10.2012 i keep send reminders for asking status of the complaint, and when on 12.10.2012 finally i called to Mr. Karandikar he told me that the complaint was forwarded to higher level for investigation and shown very casual approach towards my complaint. When i asked to give me cell no of the senior who is working on the complaint then he gave me the no of Ms. Bapat (7875559010), After calling to her she gave me the no. of Mr. Sudhir Peshave (7875559016) for enquiry. When i called Mr. Peshave he told me he will let me know and cut the phone.
Till EOD i did not get any convincing reply from both Br.Manger & Mr Peshave as both shown very casual approach. in 2-3 days they did not even reply to my mails and call me.
On 13.10.2012 around 1.30 pm when iI called to Mr. Peshave he again shown very casual approach saying please approach to Br. Manager and told me that please file FIR as they cannot say who taken money and from where also said that it is Police duty to find out who taken the money and where it went we cannot do any thing. Same answer was given by Br. Manger. When i asked to provide me some details then he asked to approach Mr. Peshave @ Zonal office on Shanker Shet Road, Pune.
I went there, Mr. Peshave not on his desk, after calling he told me i am not in office and cannot help you any more. Also give an very silly answer that it was swiped from any mall the location of which he cannot tell.
the answer is silly b’cos which Mall from India is open bet 12:0 am to 8.30 am and 2nd thing is there are 10 transactions were done out of that Rs. 3390 was 9 times and Rs. 2255 for once (Total Rs.32765/-)
Finally i filed complaint for that.
Now my request id what about my money? How do i survive for the rest of the month?

Br. Manger & Mr. Peshave shown very poor & casual approach at then case no cooperation to Customer at all.
I want to sort out the case soon and find out what is actually happen, Police will do their job but what about the my hard earned money, who will give me that much money.

The loan i am taking is for treatment of my ailing step father, who is suffering from cancer. but sir, it is found that field officer (loan dealing officer) who went out for treatment has not been reached yet. it is more painful to inform you that no any officer has been appointed against him. it is therefore request you that kindly appoint another field officer so that we could make our transaction complete and secure till the main officer resume his duty at this particular branch. your positive act on this behalf would highly be obliged.

I would like to bring into your notice the worst attaitude of ur staff @ SARAPAKA branch(Khammam district, Andhra Pradesh). I have been running a savings account each with HDFC, ICICI and SBI Sarapaka. I have to visit ur branch atleast 5 times for any small work. For getting Net banking kit, I visited this branch for nearly 6 times. Applying ATM for my mother’s account, she visited the branch twice and I visited thrice. They dont detail all the formalities at a time.
In every visit of us they ask for a different document or formalities. And more than anything, they don’t know what is politeness. I have never seen such a rude behaviour in any service industry. I have never visited my branches of ICICI & HDFC in the past 5 years & Iam very happy with their services. Particularly ur SARAPAKA branch, may be because of the excess business as it is a link branch for the corporate ITC. But slowly HDFC is going to eat into your business. Your staff are busy, we understand. But we too are busy and ur staff are being paid for their busy. We have been wasting a lot of our valuable time for the silly reasons cited by your staff. Ur staff @ SARAPAKA branch dont know manners. Please take some action to change their attitude before u lose further to ur competitors.

With very sorrowful to know you that, on August (approx.5th or 6th)
For my mother treatment I had wanted to apply for personal loan at Islampur SBI branch.P.O.-Islampur, Dist: Uttardinajpur, State: West Bengal. But at the same day particularly staff of loan section had told me before apply of the loan you have to collect some documents.i.e.
1. Voter ID card/Ration card/Driving license,
2. DDO certificate/2 no’s guarantor signature,
3. 6 no’s blank check,
4. 2 no’s passport size photograph,
5. Rs.10 non judicial stamp paper,
6. Rs.1 revenue stamp
7. 3 months salary slip,
8. Age proof certificate.
After collecting all the documents I had wanted to submit the same on 5th or 6th September, but at same day other officer had told me today loan section officer not present and I have no idea which day he will come. After two days I had come for the same purpose but no one want to talk with me, and after many time request, one branch staff told me he is now in leave you should come 7 to 8 days later. I had attained 7 to 8 days later with my handicapped father and now the same staff had told me he is not back you should try on next month (i.e. October 1st week). Finally on 1st week of the October I met with the loan officer but I don’t know is that my bad luck or bribery of the loan officer, he had told me you have to come after Durga Puja.
In this situation and very closer date of my mother operation and after 9 times attaining the Islampur branch, I have decided to transfer my account from this branch to another branch and I already being applied for the same.
So, you are requested to please investigate the matter and necessary information is furnished for your observation and further course of action. Please extend your helping hand.

I Mr. jinku nahar deka having an account in state bank of India with ac\No. 20021698841 branch-duliajan (2053).
On 18 August 2009 while accessing my S.B.I. account via an A.T.M. located in Guwahati, junali branch.
The A.T.M. processed my request but failed to dispense the sum of Rupees 10000/- (rupees ten thousand only).
Thus the amount has been deducted from my account and never been readjusted after several complaints.
The complaints were given online as well as personally to my branch manager.
However I have had no response from the respected officials.
I went to SBI, ABP Berhampore to open a PPF account. But the account manager Mr. Utpal Bandhopadhay, completely refused to open a PPF account citing that he does not have adequate staff in office for opening a single account. This is the second time he has denied to open a PPF account inspite of having savings account in that branch. Moreover he and a SBI staff harassed my father in public. He denied to give the complaint register in BANK. Instead he asked us to send the complaint to him through courier. There was no professionalism present in him.
I request you to kindly take necessary steps.

I applied for Debit Mastercard in around ending week of September, before that i had two visa card out of which i was using one, other card’s pin was cancelled so there was no way i could use it. After 10-12 days SBI-RMCC Branch, Ranchi circle putting a smile asked me to block one card and reapply. I did as they said. Taking their luxury time of more 12-15 days they again asked me to block my second visa card and reapply. Which i did 16 days back. Now yesterday when i went to check on status of my card, they said it has been denied.. WHY they don’t have an answer. They again made me fill another form along with KYC and Form-60.
Reasons and excuses they gave me in their support-
1) You have two visa card..please block one of them.
2) You need to block your second visa card too.
3) You need to pay some amount for master card.
4) You need to have PAN no. to have an ATM CARD.
5) There is some eligibility criteria to get Debit Mastercard ( when asked what is it…they don’t know)
6) Ma’am your Net-banking is working.. (how do they expect me to get cash this way??)
7) Ma’am we can issue you some other card for time being ( i waited 40 days to get any card??.. then will reapply again to get card that i want and wait for another 15 days?)
8) Ma’am you need to fill KYC then only you will get the card.
9) You need to fill Form-60 along with new application form.
10) We need two ID proofs and one address proof then you can apply for the card.
11) Your signature is slightly wrong so we can’t do anything.
12) Ma’am the person you talked to regarding your card you need to talk to him. Please come back and CHECK after 2 days because he is on leave. ( actually i got nothing else to do)
13) When i asked why did not bank informed me seeing i have been running since last over 40 days.bank said ma’am it is not possible to inform every client. ( no matter that client has been running to the bank every five days asking for a clear answer will you or can you provide me with the card?)
It is very sad to see because of few unhelping branches, SBI is being beaten up in its reputation. There has to be co-operation between client and officials. Hope to see more costumer friendly services.

Sir, My Sister Mrs. Priyanka Pandey, an existing customer of your Bank ( Complaint Ticket No. CS113586936814) : had gone to deposit INR 30000 in her bank account through core banking facility at the aforementioned branch. Mistakenly ( according to her ) she handed him INR 37500 ( 75x 500 ) instead of INR 30000. Since the maximum permissible amount which can be deposited at non-parent branch was INR 25000. The Cashier returned INR 5000 back to her and gave her acknowledgement/receipt of INR 25000.
She realized after returning home and went back to branch to inquire about this issue. I accompanied her too. The person at the counter had left office by then.
At the branch, we were not allowed to enter into bank premises on the pretext that Branch Manager was not in office. I asked the guard to allow us to put a written complaint in the complaint box but he bolted the door from inside, and, except both of us, allowed everybody else to enter Bank premises. I requested him to behave properly and showed him my Identity Card as well but all efforts to register a complaint in civilized manner went in vain.
We waited for the branch manager to arrive and on his arrival, I narrated him the whole story. He also defended the ” so-called civilized” behaviour of his security staff. After my insistence to accept my complaint in writing, he told me write my complaint by roadside and he didn’t allow me inside to at least lodge my complaint.
Sir, this complaint is not about the recovery of money as there is a good possibility that my sister might have given INR 25000 only and she would have lost her money somewhere else (which would be clear in process of inquiry). Sir, this complaint is about the high-handedness and abuse of power/authority by the branch manager and his security guard (Mr. JaiPrakash ) and the kind of difficulties a citizen has to face in lodging a complaint at the institutions which have been created to serve him/her.
Before joining services I was a student of Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, where SBI was popular among students because of its commitment to customer satisfaction.
Sir, I request you to look into this matter and take appropriate action as per rules and procedure. I am ready to extend my utmost cooperation in this matter and this complaint is a testimony to my faith in the State Bank of India and its motto of providing best possible service to its customers and common citizenry.

i am in abroad (Muscat) I had savings bank a/c in SBI Vengalraonagar branch,Hyderabad. My monthly pension amount of Rs.17,801/- for the month of December 12 was credited to my a/c no.10123192700 till date stating that live certicicate was submitted. Infact i submitted the live certificate to the lady accounts officer personally in first week of 11/2012. i am facing lot of problem for not crediting the oension amt. I request you take immediate steps a.d credit the amount to my a/c without delay under intimation to me by mail. Sent mail to general manager sbi,mumbai and branch manger vengalrainagar but no action has been initiated till now.

to day I went to the branch for my money transition.at the time i observed the distribution of calenders to the customers .so i also go there and asked the calender,but the bank employ who distributed was refused to give.he told me these calenders are not for you only for VIPs and whom I will to give.and shouting and used vulgar language.Is this response from SBI employes in korukonda?

sir,i have a salary account with SBI BORING ROAD,BRANCH,PATNA BIHAR,my a/c no. is 10749123563,i was applied for a personal loan in this branch,but with very sad i inform you that the loan initiating staff was very rough in behavior,her attitude was very harassing,i was submitted all necessary documents for what i was said,she always produces one by one requirement before me,this kind i visited atleast 10 times to the branch,finaly after when loan was sanctioned she call me to come in the branch,when ireached there then she said me to come with guaranter, when we both assemble there,after hours of waiting she met us,while she herself informed us to appear before her,then she demanded rupees 450.00 as processing fee,that time i have less amount,so she gave me a withdrowal form after filling it i submitted to her,but for this amount she did not given any receipt,while Re 1010.00 already charged as processing fee from my a/c.then she requisited 60 leafs cheque while it is salary a/c.i had only three leafs,so i applied for cheque book,but she kept Re10000.00 as lien amount.as stated above she harassed me all kinds as she can do,so i request you to take positive stapes in this regard.

You can lodge your complaint with the Bank by sending a message “UNHAPPY” from your mobile to 8008202020 number which would reach the “Happy Room” of SBI’s respective Local Head Office. An executive of the Bank would then call you back on your mobile phone. He would listen to your grievances and record the complaint. After understanding the nature of the problem he would take up the matter with respective branch/office for resolution.

Now date of maturity has passed before 6 months, and bank demand a letter by credit card dept.

It is not clear from your complaint whether the credit card is still running or it has been cancelled. If running, then you cannot demand the FDR back, only you can take the particulars from the bank. If the card has been cancelled, the credit card deptt. will confirm the same and you can provide the same to the bank and take your FDR back. regards,

I the undersigned had served your esteemed institution as an Assistant (a/c and cash) in SBI, Chowk Branch, Kanpur, U.P since January 06, 2009 till December 14, 2010. I had been relieved from my duties after due approval from appropriate authorities because I was selected for the post of Grade B (DR) in Reserve Bank of India.
I have already given a written request (copy enclosed) to the Branch Manager, Chowk Branch, Kanpur on August 17, 2011 to transfer my Provident fund balance (P.F no.5908116) in my SB a/c 30677837604 in SBI but I assume no action has been taken on my request as nothing in this regard has been credited to my SB a/c so far.
I request your goodself to take an immediate action in this matter. I assume that my provident fund balance along with interest (as applicable to Provident fund) till date of crediting to my SB a/c will be given to me as the culpability lies on the part of bank for not responding to my request for so long.
Early action at your end will be appreciable and will avert me from complaining to Banking Ombudsman or pursuing explanation of fixing accountability under Right to Information.

In this regards details of my clarification of land map and building communicated to Chief Manager ,SBI RACPC Lho Kolkata vide may letter dated 04th February 2013 under intimation to SBI RASMECCC ( Sanctioning Branch at Shillong) and concern valuer But till date neither my loan is sanctioned nor any regret letter received from concern authority of SBI.
