- 2% discount to all on sale of gold coins of 500 grams or more at any one time .
- 1.5% discount to staff members including retired staff members and staff of sponsored Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) by debit to their accounts and not through cash.
- 1% discount to all Corporate Salary Package (CSP)/ Defence Salary Package (DSP)/ Railway Salary Package (RSP) account holders for sale of gold coins by debit to their accounts and not through cash.
The above discount will not be clubbed with any other festival season/ Promotional discount announced from time to time.
Festival Season Discount
On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya which is falling on 24th April, 2012 SBI has offered discount of 1% on all denominations of Gold coins (except on 100 gm gold coin) from 21-04-12 to 24-04-12.

On account of festival season of Durgapuja, Dussehra, Dhanteras and Diwali etc. 1% discount on the card rates of all denomination of gold coins (except 100gm coins) is available to general public from 10th October, 2011 to 31st October 2011.

On the occasion of Akshay Tritiya State Bank of India has offered 1% discount on card rate on sale of gold coins of 5 gm, 10 gm, 20 gm and 50 gm denominations and 1.5% discount on sale of gold coins of 2 gm, 4 gm and 8 gm denominations, except those of 100 gm denominations from 04.05.2011 to 07.05.2011 .

On the occasion of many festivals celebrated across the country State Bank of India has offered 1% discount on card rate on purchase of gold coins of all denominations except 100 gm denomination from 04.04.2011 to 14.04.2011 in all Circles.
